Reclaiming Outdoor Spaces

Challenging spaces often become the most inspiring places.  What do you do when it seems the land you have is impossible to work with?  At Land Story, we are always searching for the secrets and hidden qualities of the land. This site dropped almost 30’ from the front of the house to the back.  There was not even a way to walk all the way around the house.  There was a great deal of stone on the site.  We maximized the stone material and designed a way to gently and elegantly turn this inaccessible slope into a vibrant space with a patio, water feature, fire, hot tub, outdoor shower, and gathering lounge, all connected with a sinuous trail system.  We love a good challenge!
