During the first phase of the design process, Landstory’s team will visit the site, meet with the client and begin understanding the land.
Landstory’s years of industry experience will embrace the client’s desires, requirements and priorities to develop preliminary design concepts. Through this creative process, a discovery of the overarching design intent takes form.
In this phase, ideas translate into design. All properties are unique, and their true inner story will be unleashed on paper to create a master plan. This phase collects the client’s desires, requirements and priorities to be translated into technical drawings for the client’s consideration. The master plan, once approved by the client, will be used for pricing, scaling, identifying the right skill set for delivery, and selecting appropriate contractors.
Once the concept has been determined and refined, we will assess how in depth this phase should progress. This phase requires attention to detail and includes preparing drawings, notes, specifications, planning construction and obtaining permits as necessary. The Landstory team will match the project with our most skilled contractors, to prepare for the project’s construction.
During the construction phase, the Landstory team works closely with selected contractors to begin building and delivering the project. The Landstory team will be available to the owner and the contractors, to overview the project’s construction for a smooth and seamless process. Landstory will be accompanying you through every step of the construction process, assisting with verification of materials, transferring and delivering knowledge to the build team, serving as a walk-through representative, comparing requirements to delivery, and redesigning should the unexpected occur.
